Antique Kitchenware, Antique Scales, Graniteware, Collectible Stuff

Added some neat stuff to the shop this week, a couple of antique bean splitters, raisin seeder, other kitchen collectibles and a couple of antique scales.

Nice vintage mottled enamelware blue and white colander, approx. 9-1/2 in. diameter excluding handles, and 3-1/2 inches high. Has some chipped enamel on bottom and around rim. Great addition to your country kitchenware collection.

Nice antique German bean slicer or bean frencher with octagon shaped hopper, early 1900’s. Cast iron with nice ornate design. Has wooden handle on the crank handle. Marked ‘Gesetzlich Geschutzt’ on side which basically means Patented or Protected. Works smoothly. About 7-1/2 in. long. A great addition to your antique kitchenware collection.

An antique Fairbanks balance beam powder scale for reloading etc. Has original Fairbanks decal. 480 gr. capacity. Leveling bubble is intact. Needs some cleaning up, haven’t gotten to it yet.

A vintage plumber’s tap borer, a hand tool used by plumbers for boring tapered holes in a lead pipe when making a connection to it. Heavy steel blade with nice wood handle. Marked Wm., Johnson, Newark, NJ on the tang. Handle is approx. 3-3/4 in. long. Wm. Johnson operated the Hedenberg Works, Newark, NJ in the early 1900’s.
